Example(s)

  • Consider a <DRM Model> instance representing an aircraft, the hard points of which are represented as <DRM Attachment Point> instances. Consider a second <DRM Model> instance representing a missile. One missile hangs below the wing, and another missile hangs from the tip of the wing. In this case, the matrix formed by the <DRM Attachment Point> instances conveys the appropriate rotation. The missile, on the other hand, uses a <DRM LSR Transformation> component to move the origin of the missile (which would probably be its CENTRE_OF_MASS <DRM Geometric Centre> component) to the point on or near the surface where it attaches to the <DRM Attachment Point> instances of the airplane.
