Definition

An instance of this DRM class specifies a coordinate for an SRF based on the Local Space Azimuthal 2D SRFT.

See 8.5.26 Local space azimuthal 2D SRFT of ISO/IEC 18026 for a complete definition.

The coordinate field specifies the set of coordinate-component values.

Example(s)

  • Consider the flagship of a battle group of surface ships. An observer on this ship wants to know where all the other ships of the battle group are, in terms of bearing and range, in relation to the flagship in order to avoid collisions and to ensure that the airspace above the battle group is covered adequately. The bearing is azimuth from true north.

An SRF derived from the Local Space Azimuthal 2D SRFT is used to represent these locations using <DRM LSA 2D Location> instances.
