Example(s)
|
Consider a transmittal containing large stretches of various types
of terrain, represented with texture-mapped <DRM Polygon>
instances, where the textures are blended with <DRM Colour>
instances.
For efficiency, the source of this transmittal uses a library of
terrain textures, which are repeated at intervals across the
terrain. Consequently, a limited number of
<DRM Image Mapping Function> instance,
<DRM Colour> instance pairs are repeated across a
large number of <DRM Polygon> instances as components.
Rather than creating many duplicate DRM objects, the data provider
creates a <DRM Property Set Table Library> instance.
Each of the <DRM Image Mapping Function> instance,
<DRM Colour> instance pairs is placed in a
<DRM Property Set> instance, which is in turn stored
in the primary <DRM Property Set Table> component of a
<DRM Property Set Table Group>
component within the library.
Each <DRM Polygon> instance is then given a
<DRM Property Set Index> component,
which is associated to the appropriate
<DRM Property Set Table Group> instance.
