Property

Description

Class

  • <DRM Geometry Face>

Superclass

Subclass

  • None.

Definition

An instance of this DRM class is used to represent a geometric region that is bounded by one or more <DRM Geometry Edge> instances. The <DRM Geometry Face> instance corresponds to a geometric region where that geometric region may be defined by one or more <DRM Polygon> instances and/or linear geometric constructs.

The external boundary of a <DRM Geometry Face> instance is specified by its <DRM Geometry Edge> associates.

Clarifications

1These <DRM Geometry Edge> instances specify the border of the <DRM Geometry Face> instance.

2For level 3 topology or higher, any <DRM Geometry Node> instances contained within the boundary of a <DRM Geometry Face> instance have an association relationship with that <DRM Geometry Face> instance to indicate the relationship. For topology of less than level 3, the association relationship between <DRM Geometry Face> instances and <DRM Geometry Node> instances has the same meaning, but data providers are not required to supply the information.

3The <DRM Geometry Face> instance may form part of a <DRM Geometry Volume> instance, possibly one for each side of the <DRM Geometry Face> instance.
